The challenge

Improving access and self-service for Victorian educators.

The DET approached VERSA Agency recognising an urgent need to modernise its digital offerings. With ageing tools and poor access to essential Curriculum resources, there was a rising demand for intuitive online solutions that support the needs of educators across Victoria. DET required a delivery partner skilled in navigating the complexities of the education sector, capable of addressing the varied needs of its users and stakeholders.

Critical to the success for each platform was engaging DET’s stakeholders and priority user groups. This process involved extensive user research to capture insights from teachers, school leaders, and curriculum designers. Understanding these audience needs was essential for planning and validating solutions, ensuring that the resulting platforms would be both effective and readily embraced.

How can we deliver targeted solutions that empower educators in the classroom?

Transforming Learning Resources

Arc Platform

We delivered a holistic online education hub that provides a single, intuitive interface for educators and students to access essential resources, thereby enhancing teaching and learning practices across Victoria.

Learning Sequences

Provides educators with tailored resources aligned to the Victorian Curriculum. Designed through extensive user research, it simplifies resource discovery, allowing teachers to customise materials for their classrooms.

Maths Curriculum Companion

We transformed the Maths Curriculum Companion from an interactive PDF into an intuitive online microsite. This new format would enable teachers to efficiently search and filter resources, improving accessibility and usability.

The Results

Empowering educators and improving learning standards.

Our collaboration with the DET resulted in a suite of innovative solutions, including the Arc Platform, Learning Sequences, and the Maths Curriculum Companion. Each digital solution was delivered following a human-centred approach, tailoring new features and functionality to user and stakeholder requirements.

  • Streamlined resource access to build a more interactive learning environment
  • Facilitated curriculum alignment for teachers of all subjects and experience levels
  • Improved access to essential online learning skills for vulnerable communities
  • Empowered teachers with user-friendly platforms that minimised admin tasks

Universally, these platforms enhanced classroom accessibility and engagement by empowering educators to deliver more personalised teaching plans. VERSA is extremely proud of the work created in collaboration with the DET, as well as the positive reception it has received from the Victorian educational sector.

We hope to continue bringing modern digital tools and experiences to the forefront, fostering a more inclusive and effective learning environment.
